XC Delivers At Regionals

Girls and boys cross country teams both qualified for the State Finals at Regionals on Saturday, October 31. Girls took second place behind Harbor Springs, and boys took third behind Harbor Springs and Ellsworth. The boys team also beat East Jordan and Gaylord St. Mary for the first time all season.

“I think both boys and girls did great Saturday,” girls coach Sarah Furman said.

Inland Lakes’ top girls finisher Lexi Passino cheers on her twin brother Luke who was Inland Lakes’ top boys finisher.

Luke accepts the boys team’s State Finals registration packet.

All seven boys ran personal bests in the Regional, earning the boys team their first trip to the Finals.

The girls team finished a strong second behind the dominant Harbor Springs team, giving coach Sarah Furman an awesome birthday present.

  1. Character and talent run deep in this program. Thank you Coach Furman and Coach Beltz for setting high expectations and believing in the kids to meet them. Teams truly take on the personality of their coaches. These kids…their families…our school…are blessed to have these mentors.
