In the eight days that I’ve been here at Inland Lakes High School, I have been welcomed by both staff and students from the moment I walked into the school. Everybody is kind and open to meeting new people like myself. Although I was nervous to go to a new school, it was very easy to get through the day and meet new people.
The first few of my classes were pretty easy to get through, but the most nerve-wracking part of the day for me was lunch. The thing I was afraid of the most was that I wouldn’t find anyone to sit with, but I was wrong. Once I got in the cafeteria, a few people came up to me and invited me to sit with them. I ate my lunch, went to the rest of my classes, and went home. It ended up being a very easy day for me, because everyone was kind and helpful.
Now that I have been here for a few days I realize that I didn’t have to be nervous and neither does any other new student, because there is going to be at least one nice person that will reach out to you and be your friend. So far, my overall experience at Inland Lakes is good, and I am confident that it will stay that way.
