January 11th was the day that we had all been waiting for: our first snow day! Schools were closed due to bad roads from the harsh winds of Sunday night. Students throughout the school had many different activities that they liked to do during this unexpected day off.
“I spent my snow day working out,” senior Doug Langone said.
“I ended up sleeping in until 2 p.m. and then I went to drama rehearsals,” senior Parker Kandt said.
“I spent my day watching movies on Netflix,” junior Anya Bushinski said.
Many of the kids spent their time indoors, away from the harsh weather conditions. But others decided to brave the cold.
“I went snowmobiling all day,” eighth grader Jesse Witulski said.
“I got pelted in the face by a chunk of ice,” seventh grader Austin Tackett said. “My cousin thought it would be funny.”
Whether you’re sleeping in or enjoying the frosty weather, snow days are the best kind of days. Enjoy them while they last.
