Volleyball Falls in District Semis

The varsity volleyball team fell to host Charlevoix in the District semifinals Wednesday night, 0-3.

“I feel like everyone played well,” junior Cloe Mallory said. “Charlevoix was double blocking me at the net every time.”

It was a high-energy filled night that included a small student section that came to support the Bulldogs on their journey to the second round of Districts.

“I’m really happy with how we improved over the season, to be able to play with a team like Charlevoix,” senior Lindsey Meister said. “It came down to simple mistakes that made the difference.”

With the loss, the volleyball season comes to a close.

“Next year will only get better.” said Makayla Henckel.

Game scores were 21-25, 20-25, 17-25.

I’m a junior at Inland Lakes, and I came from Alaska so I don’t know what I’m doing here, but volleyball is my sport, and I brought back crocs to IR.
