The varsity girls took on Onaway at home Wednesday night in an emotional match up pitting brother-in-law coaches leading their respective teams.
By the end of the first half, the Bulldogs were up 22-20, with the girls maintaining a steady lead, but never pulling away. Cardinals and the Bulldogs both had foul issues.
Freshman Mara Clancy led with ten points against her uncle’s team. Sophomore Lexi Brendly also had 10 points each.
The varsity’s threes were on fire in the third and fourth quarter, with a total of five 3’s for the half.
The Bulldogs won 49-42. They are now 3-4 overall (3-3 in the Ski Valley Conference.)
