Varsity dominates Onaway

The game took place on Dec. 5 at Inland Lakes at 7:00 pm against the Onaway Cardinals. The Bulldogs started off very strong, with junior Nathaniel Wandrie winning the tip-off allowing the Bulldogs to score right off the bat. Senior Tristan Overholt had a strong game, along with it being his birthday as well. The game was very exciting for the Bulldogs because it was their first home game of the season. The game was a big success for the Bulldogs, with Inland Lakes scoring 66 points and Onaway scoring 45 points. Inland Lakes had 55 rebounds and 11 steals, while Onaway only had 37 rebounds and 10 steals. Senior Luke Mayer made multiple three points throughout the game. Along with senior Cleveland Baker coming into the game fired up and ready.  When Baker was not out there, junior Hunter Bishop was leading the Bulldogs and keeping them alive. The Bulldogs have two wins to start off the season. With high hopes to keep the energy alive throughout the season is looking good. Head coach Lee Nash has been preparing the team and is ready to work on a strong season. “I was very happy with the improved effort and performance, we took major steps to where we came as a team, and I am hoping for improvement throughout the season,” Nash said.  Overall, the team is ready for the season and we are all hoping to see what this year will bring.
