After 23 days without a game, the varsity boys basketball team had to get back in the swing of things with a tough Gaylord St. Mary team coming to Inland Lakes on Thursday night.
The team struggled with foul trouble in the first half, but managed to have a lead heading into halftime. Gaylord came out of the half hot as they went on a 12-0 run that would end up being the difference maker. Foul trouble and turnovers were also major factors in the boys 50-47 loss.
Ian Clancy had 11 points and Kyle Whitman added a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Jordan Hurst added 10 points.
The boys host Johannesburg-Lewiston on Tuesday, January 16.
