On Wednesday the varsity boys basketball team hosted Rogers City for a scrimmage before the season started. Last year both the jv and varsity boys took a loss to Hurons, so they knew it would be good competition.

The teams played each other, than did drills against each other such as late game situations.

“I think we really played. up tempo, and it was really an advantage we had,” senior Ian Clancy said. “Our offense looked really good and our defense did as well. It’ll be a good season.”

The boys start the season Tuesday, December 5 at home against Cheboygan.
