On Friday night, February 19, Inland Lakes travelled to Onaway for the rematch with their rivals. It was the game we all have been waiting for.

In the first quarter the boys started out strong, but so did Onaway. The score seesawed back and forth through the first quarter. The varsity deliberately looked down low to the post. Both teams took a lot of chances, putting up numerous three pointers. The first quarter ended 18-14.

The boys craved a win. There was an extra spark in their eyes. Their shots were falling, and they were working hard down low for rebounds. Defensively, the boys were running into foul trouble. Onaway ended the half with a buzzer beater, only two down. The ending score for the quarter 30-32 Inland Lakes.

As the third quarter started, the boys slowly started to loose it. Both crowds are on fire, cheering and going wild. Onaway was finding holes in Inland Lakes defense. The boys struggled to keep up leaving the score 39-47 at the end of the third.
Inland Lakes tried to keep up at the beginning of the fourth quarter. The Bulldogs keep driving to the basket, but Onaway knocked them off balance.

Mike O’Connor hit a buzzer beater, leaving the final score a 63-65 loss.
