Forest Area came to Inland Lakes on Friday, Febuary 26, as the boys basketball team hosted Senior Night.
The first quarter the score went back and forth back between the Bulldogs and the Warriors. The varsity had a lot of bad passes and, at times, couldn’t get their offense together. Inland Lakes ended the quarter up, 18-16.
In the second quarter, it was another struggle to keep a lead in the game. The varsity was slowly coming around and being smart with the ball. The Bulldogs had the Warriors shooken up towards the end of the quarter, but at the half, the Bulldogs were down, 28-32.
In the third quarter the boys started pulling everything together. Their passes were a lot better. The Bulldogs started to work as team, and they looked like they were having fun while doing it. With 8 minutes to go, the Bulldogs led, 44-42.
In the fourth quarter, Forest Area fouled Andrew Dufek and Ryan Howery quite a bit. The varsity slowed their offense down and were running through their plays very smoothly. Forest Area was struggling.
On the last play of the game, Doug Langone finished a fast break layup with Dufek with the assist.
The final score of the game was 61-52.
