Genre: Thriller/Horror

Seeing the trailer for the first time, The Boy looked like a waste of time and money. But in spite of these feelings, I went and saw it anyway and to my surprise this movie was quite satisfying.

A young woman named Greta (Lauren Cohan) has taken a job as a nanny in some remote place in the U.K. She arrives at a magnificent manor and meets an elderly couple who seem pretty strange. Turns out that Greta has to babysit their son Brahms… who is a life-sized doll! *Dramatic music plays* So anyway, Greta has a few rules that she must obey in order to make Brahms “happy”. If she does not.. strange things will happen..

Now, I will not spoil the movie for you, but the ending is amazing. One of the biggest twists I have seen in a while. You will not see it coming. Trust me. And that is the best kind of ending! Once you get through the silly “haunted doll” concept, the movie becomes much more interesting. This is the new Annabelle.
