People don’t nearly say this enough, but I am thankful for friends. I am so lucky to have friends that care for me in a way nobody else has. When I’m down they are the first to try and pick me up. When things go wrong they are there to help me fix it.
I never thought I would ever get kicked out of my home I always believed it would be of my own merit but it happened. Everything seemed to have gone wrong in one day and I had to face the reality that I was eighteen, homeless, and had no clue what to do. I am so lucky to have great friends because they helped me get on my feet and gave me a home.
Now living with your best friends can be fun… late night movies, random jokes, and lots of junk food but it can also be difficult. When you’re just starting out you feel alone and confused. You miss your family and old life, I know I sure do but its the best thing for me and I have a great support system.
Honestly, if it hadn’t been for my friends I probably wouldn’t have a roof over my head or a warm bed to sleep in. They were there for me when I needed them the most and I wouldn’t trade their friendship for anything in this world.
