With more than the one inch of predicted snow lying on the ground Tuesday afternoon, track and other spring sports practices will have to be indoors.
Some might think this would be a problem, but not when the coach is as optimistic as boys track coach Brandon Beltz.
“I love running in the snow,” Beltz said. “ I think it makes kids tougher.”
Some others do not have the same outlook on the snow coming back.
“I hate snow, but I am happy we are practicing indoors,” freshman Jaimee Vizina said.
This spring has been unseasonably mild, with below average precipitation and some milder temperatures, but the National Weather Service is predicting up to 6 inches of snow and winds to 35 mph from Wednesday evening through Thursday afternoon. A winter storm warning has been issued from 2 p.m. Wednesday through 8 p.m. Thursday.
