As Friday approaches, the seniors on the varsity football team are starting to come to grips that this may well be their last home football game. Friday, October 16, will be Senior Night as well as a black and pink out. Before the game, students and community members will be asked to recognize cancer survivors and lost loved ones by filling out a ribbon.
With the last home football game right around the corner, the seniors are going to have to prepare for the emotional part of it.
“I’m going to miss the environment, like my team and the coaches,” senior Ethan Jankowiak said.
“My best memory was at Central Lake in tenth grade,” senior Doug Langone said. “It was my first time playing on varsity, and I was the youngest.”
You can go and get your pre-game face painted pink by the ILS crazies at the gate and also have some pink powder for a special pre-kickoff chant and throw!
