Regional Finals

The track teams traveled two hours away to run in Regionals at Lincoln-Alcona on May 20. The girls team finished in second place, losing to Johannesburg-Lewiston by 8 points. The boys team finished in fifth place as a team. Regionals is the State qualifying meet. To qualify you have to finish in first or second place or run or jump the qualifying height, jump, or time.

State qualifiers are Charles Kennedy, Precious Delos Santos, Hailey Shank, Christy Shank, Haivyn Fielder, Falyn Mansfield, Chloe Smeltzer, Lauren Vizina, Sheldon Vizina, Lili Seroussi and Abbi Kline.

“The weather today was rough 50’s and a steady rain all day.  The boys ran tough but our youth showed today.  Many of the boys got great experience for the upcoming years.  Charles Kennedy ran exceptionally tough today and qualified himself for the state meet in the 2 mile. said boys coach Brandon Beltz.
