On Thursday, March 17, the National Honor Society, along with the Red Cross, is putting on a blood drive.
There are many good reasons to give blood, although it might not be the most desired way to give to charity. Donating blood can even be a little scary sometimes. In the end, it can be a very gratifying process.
Donating one pint of blood can save up to three lives. You could easily make a difference in multiple peoples’ lives if you spend about 10 minutes donating blood. Did you know that 1 out of 3 people will need a blood transfusion sometime in their life (http://www.mbc.org/About-Blood/Why-Donate-Blood)? You could be saving someone that you know.
If you have any further questions, contact NHS adviser Cindy Morley or the American Red Cross.
