Kong: Skull Island was released in theaters on March 10. It is not a sequel nor a prequel, it is more like a reboot of the franchise. Most movie reboots are usually very different from the original movies, but Kong is an exception…

Kong: Skull Island is action packed adventure like something you would see in an Indiana Jones movie. The writers left out a lot of the lovey dovey stuff between Kong and the girl, which in my opinion was a good choice, although Kong still saves the girl once or twice. Kong’s production staff used today’s filming technology to create an amazing film with stunning detail in the environment.

The director made an amazing choice of cast in this movie, with Samuel L. Jackson as Lieutenant Colonel Preston Packard, leader of the Sky Devils, a Vietnam War helicopter squadron, and Tom Hiddleston as retired Captain James Conrad from the British Special Air Service. That is obviously not the entire cast, but I just wanted to point out that they fit into their characters roles extremely well.

So if you have not seen this, I highly recommend it for fans of the original King Kong movies…
