Movie review: Jumanji

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle
Released: December 20, 2017
Rated: PG-13
Director: Jake Kasdan
Cast: Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Nick Jonas, Jack Black, Karen Gillan, Bobby Cannavale
Box Office: $519.4 million

This movie is supposed to be a second part of the first Jumanji from 1995. Instead of a board game, this version is a video game that has traveled a long way to find four new players.

What they discover is that you just play Jumanji. You must survive it to beat the game and return to the real world. The players go on the most dangerous adventure of their lives. They do not just try to beat the game. They discover a new way of thinking about themselves in the real world, not just by how they look, but how they affect other people.

They start to realize what they have done. They regret in their lives by hiding behind a screen their whole life and not communicating with real people. They figure out what they have done and why they treated some people the way they do.

The morals of the story are we should stop using games as an escape and start to be yourself in the real world, always treat people with respect and never push people away just so you can be popular.

I recommend this movie. It is full of funny moments and action-packed thrills.
