Monster Game By Dufek Sinks Ironmen

The boys basketball teams travelled to Mancelona Thursday night to take on the Ironmen.

In the junior varsity game, the Bulldogs held the home team to just 6 points in the first half on the way to a 53-26 win. Kyle Whitman led with 22 points.

In the varsity game, senior Andrew Dufek scored a career high 40 points, going 12 for 12 from the free throw line along the way. He also added 13 rebounds, 4 steals and 4 blocks.

Beyond proud of our senior Andrew Dufek tonight,” coach Joe Mahoney said. “A career high 40 points, breaking his own career record from last week’s 31.”

Mike O’Connor added 14 points and 8 rebounds as the Bulldogs won 61-50.

The varsity record is now 5-2.
