The Lady Bulldogs hosted Forest Area on Thursday, February 18. The girls came out with a change in the first quarter, switching up the starters.

They came out strong with defense and continued to play strong defense throughout the game.

Forest Area arrived to play with only five players with, at times, only having four players on the court due to injuries. The Bulldogs new starting line up of Anna Beardsley, Savannah Spence, Hannah Wilson, Randy Williams, and Jaimee Vizina kept the game full of intensity.

“It was hard playing defense, because I was worrying about taking one of their five players out,” Hailey Shank said.

JV girls started in their 2-2-1 zone press, but changed it to a 2-3 zone defense in the third quarter. Savannah Spence was on fire with total of twelve steals. Spence and Hannah Green lead the team with 6 points each.

The final score of the game was 26-13 Bulldogs. The JV ladies record now stands at 11-6 with two games left. They host Detour on Monday, then travel to Mancelona on Thursday, February 25, for the season finale.
