On Monday, the Lady Bulldogs hosted Central Lake for a rescheduled Jan. 3 game. The Bulldogs took home the win with the final score of 34-27.
The first quarter was a tight one between the Lady Bulldogs and the Lady Trojans, but the Bulldogs took the lead and kept it. The Bulldogs made 4 out of 5 shots put up, ending the first eight minutes with a lead of 10-7.
The second quarter was a strong one for the Bulldogs. They played tough defense and held the Trojans scoreless while they added 8 points to the scoreboard.
Coming out of halftime the Bulldogs lost a bit of their groove, committing several fouls and scoring only 4 of 13 shots.
Their woes continued in the final quarter. The Trojans came alive, cutting the final outcome to 7 points.
“We kind of let off the gas toward the end there,” coach Tim Morley said. “We can’t let that happen when we play them again at their place next week.”
