On Wednesday night, the junior varsity boys welcomed Mancelona for a home game. Coming into this game with a 13-5 record, the boys were trying to hit their goal of 15 wins.
Coming into this game again without starting point guard Cleveland Baker, the boys had to fill in a spot at guard.
The game started off slow with some of the guys getting in early foul trouble, but freshman Tyler Major came off the bench and made some key plays. He had a total of 16 points, including three 3-pointers, and made some big defensive plays in the second half.
Freshman Tristan Overholt had some good agressive looks down low with a total of 12 points.
The boys won the game with key free throws in the fourth quarter from Tyler Major, Thomas Trombly, and Luke Mayer.
The final score was 58-54.
The boys play Forest Area at home on Friday for their final game of the season.
