Monday the junior varsity boys took the trip to Bellaire to face the Eagles, coming off a tough loss against Onaway last Friday.
“We needed to improve our defensive communication,” freshman Tyler Major said.
Coming into this game the boys had a record of 12-5.
The boys came out right away with an explosive offensive and defense.
“Our defense was solid as a rock,” freshman Caeden Blumke said.
The score at half was 23-13.
In the second half, the defense lagged a little bit in the fourth quarter, but the early explosive offense was enough to hold of the Eagles.
The final score was 48-28.
The leading scorers were Ronnie Labrecque with 13, and Luke Mayer with 13.
The boys host Mancelona on Wednesday.
