The junior varsity Bulldogs came out against Onaway wanting a win after losing their first two non-conference games. They came out pumped to get a win and kept pushing the ball, scoring 20 points at the end of the first quarter while holding the Cardinals to only 8.
In the second quarter, the team kept on pushing and never let up. They knew they could win if they kept playing the way they were. At the end of the first half the score was 32-15.
“I felt confident going into the house going with the leave trying to come away with the first conference win,” Hunter Bishop said. “It would give us a boost when it comes to conference games to see if we can go back to back conference champions for JV.”
“I was very confident I knew we already had the W in the bag,” Jesse Witulski said
The Bulldogs came out excited for the second half, but they still kept trying hard and never giving up. At the end of the third quarter the score was 48-24. The Bulldogs were doubling up the Cardinals.
In the final quarter the JV never let up at all. They won the game 61-29.
Jaden Hurst said the group won because of all the work they put in at practice.
