From Classroom To Court

How far are you willing to go in order to maintain a successful life style? If you are not motivated, you should not count on a stable GPA. In order for students to play sports for the school, they need to maintain a grade point average of 2.0 or higher to be eligible. Would you have motivation to keep your grades up even if sports were not an option?

“Yeah, because if you want to be successful in life, you want to go to the best school to further your education,” sophomore Ian Clancy said. “So you want to have the best grades that you can have.”

“If you don’t have good grades you don’t get to play,” junior Katie Byrne said.

Some student athletes might not have the same mindset as others. For others, sports are the reason their grades are staying at a manageable percentage.

“I probably wouldn’t try in school if I wasn’t apart of cheerleading,” freshman Alyssa Langone said.

With school sports keeping students out of trouble, they are a great way to keep their grades up and help them go farther in their education and careers.
