Do You Need A Wake Up Call?

When you get ready in the morning, you might not leave it as clean as when you got up.

How long does it take you to get ready each morning?

Out of twenty-two kids we talked to, it takes 5 students fifteen minutes, 7 students thirty to forty-five minutes, and 10 people one hour or more.

“I try to pick my outfit out the night before because picking it out takes the longest time for me,” freshman Lauren Vizina said.

Some students and staff members live a long way from the school, so this requires them to get up earlier in the morning. Teacher Erin Basgall lives in Gaylord, therefore she gets up when most of the school is still sleeping.

“I get up at 4:45 in the morning and I leave around six o’clock,” Basgall said.

Each student has their own routine they like to do in the morning. The routines vary in how long it takes them based on what they do and how long it takes them to complete it daily.

“It takes me around an hour and a half to get ready,” freshman Hailey Shank said. “I have this long routine I do every single morning, from showering at 6:00, to putting my shoes on at 7:30.”

For others it takes them 15 to 30 minutes to complete everything they need to do to be ready for school.

“It takes me thirty minutes,” junior Luke Passino said. “But I eat half the time I’m getting ready.”

“It takes me fifteen minutes or less to get ready in the morning,” senior Casey Andrew said. “I go to bed at 9:30 to ten o’clock and leave my house at 7:50.”

Most students and staff members have a routine they follow daily in order to be ready to go. Whether you ride the bus or not everyone needs to be at the school by 8:10.
