Basketball cheer tryouts start next week.
On Monday, November 9, there will be conditioning and stunt work in the band room after school from 3:30-4:30 to find out what skills potential cheerleader candidates possess.
Any ninth through twelfth graders are welcome to come to the band room on Thursday, November 19, and Friday, November 20, to tryout. If you decide to try out and make the team, you will have the chance to cheer for five home boys basketball games and five home girls basketball games.
“I want to be clear that basketball season cheerleading is not as intense as football season cheerleading,” coach Erin Basgall said. “We will have fun, practice, stunt and partake in a few fundraisers, but overall this is a chance for girls to experience something they might want to make part of their high school athletic career.”
After successful basketball cheer last year and an even more success during the recent football season, Basgall is excited for the winter season.
“I hope that we continue to be supported by our student body, staff and our basketball teams,” Basgall said. “I’m also excited to start a brand new season with returning and fresh faces. Get pumped!”
Hope to see you there!!
