On Monday, January 18, the junior varsity lady bulldogs pulled out a win against the Posen Vikings. The Bulldogs had a rough start with a score of 0-8 early and struggled throughout the first quarter, but then slowly started to catch up. In the second quarter both teams had a lot of foul troubles. The Bulldogs dominated rebounding, but missed a lot of their lay ups.
“I think we could have won easily by 30 points if we had made all of our lay ups,” sophomore captain Sydney DePauw said. “We will definitely be working on that in practice tomorrow.”
After half time the Bulldogs got focused and finally caught up to Posen. With the ladies working hard and trying not to foul, they started to pull ahead. They kept their arms up and stopped getting as many fouls. In the fourth quarter the ladies pulled ahead and finished off the win with a final score of 37-32.
The ladies travel to Forest Area on Wednesday.
