The boys basketball team took on the LaSalle Saints in the District semifinals on Tuesday night where they advanced to the championship in Harbor Springs on Friday.
The Bulldogs started off strong with senior guard Ian Clancy started off with a few threes to help with the big lead. The Bulldogs had an 11-point lead going into the second quarter as the score was 20-9.
In the second quarter the Bulldogs were a little bit slower as they gave up 13 and only scored 11 with senior forward Ronnie LaBrecque being the hot one in the quarter for the Dogs. The score was 31-22 going into halftime.
In the third the Bulldogs started getting hot again as they put up 19 while only giving up 8. This proved to be a motivation booster as they went into the final quarter with the score being 50-30
The fourth is when the Bulldogs started strolling to a victory with a game they thought they should have won by more 59-45.
The Bulldogs leading scorer was Cleveland Baker with 14 and Ronnie LaBrecque with 13
The Bulldogs play at Harbor Spring for the District championship on Friday, March 9 at 6 p.m.
