Boys Fall To Bellaire

Senior Andrew Dufek led the Bulldogs with 18 points.

Monday featured a high powered conference matchup between Bellaire, undefeated in Ski-Valley play, and the Bulldogs, who are a couple close games to being top 3 in the conference.

During the first half, Bellaire didn’t have any trouble with the boys, going up by as much as 15 in the second quarter and taking a 9 point lead into halftime.

Despite being down 9 coming into the third quarter, the Bulldogs made a run to bring the lead within 2 going into the 4th.

The 3rd quarter run was lead by Bulldog seniors Andrew Dufek, Mike O’Connor and Ryan Howery. The backcourt of Dufek and O’Connor combined for 31 points.

The boys stayed with Bellaire for most of the final quarter, but couldn’t string enough plays together and make enough defensive stops to gain a lead.

The final score was 52-46 with Bellaire pulling away with late free throws in the 4th.
