Monday night’s District tournament matchup between Inland Lakes and East Jordan was a tale of two halves.
During the first half, the Bulldogs controlled the game. The boys were stout defensively and spread out East Jordan’s defense to create easy looks and open shots.
The Bulldogs went up by as much as 15 at one point during the second quarter and ended up taking an 11 point advantage going into halftime.
During the third quarter, Inland Lakes struggled to put the ball in offensively, but still continued playing well defensively, taking an eight point lead into the final quarter.
The Red Devils of East Jordan caught fire quickly during the beginning of the 4th, going on a 10-0 run to give them a two point lead with seven minutes left.
The rest of the fourth quarter was back and forth, with several lead changes.
East Jordan ended up making just enough plays to edge out the Bulldogs. The final score was 53-51.
Leading the scoring for the Bulldogs was Mike O’Connor with 15 points, Ian Clancy with 14 points, and Andrew Dufek with 13 points.
