The middle school girls’ rematch against Onaway at home on November 23 saw both teams win their game. Seventh grade team won with a score of 25-15. The eighth grade won 32-10.
The seventh grade girls played an amazing game. They stole the ball twenty-eight times, adding sixteen rebounds. The fast break was working well, leading to the majority of scoring opportunities.
The eighth grade girls worked together with giving good passes and looking for the right time to shoot the ball. When the game started, the girls played fierce defense, leading to a 12-2 lead at the end of the first quarter. They held Onaway scoreless in the second, opening up an 18-2 halftime lead.
As both teams seasons are wrapping up during the week following Thanksgiving Break, they look forward to taking on St. Mary in Gaylord Monday and hosting Bellaire on Wednesday.
