3rd Annual March Madness 5k Run

The track and cross country teams are hosting a 5k run for a fundraiser. This event is taking place on Saturday, March 26, at 10 a.m. The 5k run is being held at Inland Lakes High School.

Everyone is welcomed to run, walk, or jog at the event. If you have younger kids that are interested, they can run in the 1k.

Registration will start at 9 a.m. Entry fees is $5 for anyone who does not go to Inland Lakes, if entry is received before the date of the race. The day of the race it is a $10 fee for anyone who does not go to Inland Lakes. For the students who go to IL the fee is $5 on the day of or before the race. There also is a maximum fee of $20 for a family of 4 or more in the same household. Winter hats and other clothing will be sold at this event.

There will be a prize for the overall male and female winner and for the masters winner. There are no age group prizes. The results will be posted on runmichigan.com. The event will still be held no matter what the weather is on Saturday. The course is flat and there will be open traffic.

For the runners who do not go to IL, you can mail your entries to Inland Lakes Athletics, Track 5K, 4363 South Straits Highway, Indian River, MI 49749. Checks should be made to Inland Lakes Schools. The application is available on the inlandlakes.org website.
