As the 2016 Ski Club kicks off, students grades six through twelve headed to Nubs Nob Thursday night for the session of the year. With a total of 96 students, this trip was deemed a success.

“It was fantastic!” adviser Nathan Jacques said. “Everybody was popping off. The kids were hyped when everyone was hanging out in the lobby and heading out to the bus.”

This year Jacques decided to go to Nubs Nob instead of Boyne Highlands. The hills were great and many students enjoying the terrain park, hitting the jumps and just having a blast all around. Inside the lobby, nobody was sitting around, unless they were eating, and that is a rare thing to see, especially with the amount of students that attended.

“My favorite part about Ski club was sitting in the lounge and eating curly fries,” senior Cameron Everingham said.

In fact one of the kids favorite parts of eating at Nubs Nob is the “monster dip” you make to go with the curly fries. It is a mixture of all the condiments combined.

Ski Club will continue every Thursday through the end of the ski season.
