Root Beer Floats for Cystic Fibrosis

UPDATE (12/14/15): $514 was raised.

On Thursday, December 10, the healthy living class is holding a root beer float sale. The cost will be $1, and all donations are going to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The class’s goal is to reach $500.

Cystic fibrosis is a genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe. Joe Mahoney’s healthy living class is raising money to donate to the foundation to help treat patients with the disease.

“I’m trying to teach young adults how to give back, show them it’s good to help out organizations and foundations and to help other individuals out,” Mahoney said.

Help out and get a yummy root beer float during every lunch period on Thursday.
